Participant Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions, together with AHG’s annual Member Registration documents, AHG’s Health and Safety Policies and Guidelines, and any notices contained or referenced herein or therein (collectively, the “Terms”), govern your, and/or your guest’s, attendance and/or participation in the AHG National 30th Anniversary Convention Gala (“Event”). Please read this document before you proceed with your registration for the Event. By registering for the Event, you are agreeing to be bound by the Terms, which form a legal contract between you and American Heritage Girls, Inc., an Ohio non-profit corporation (hereinafter referred to as “AHG”). If you do not agree to the Terms, it is your choice not to register for or participate in the Event.
TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
You must have a confirmed registration for the Event.
Your registration entitles you to admittance to the Event. Any other costs associated with your attendance including travel accommodation expenses shall be your responsibility.
CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS
Event registration closes on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 11:59pm ET. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 11:59pm ET.
If you register for the Event and are unable to attend for any reason you may request a refund of 50% of the registration cost until Monday, June 2, 2025, at 11:59pm ET.
At the discretion of AHG, you may transfer your registration to another guest on or before Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 11:59pm ET. Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11:59pm ET by providing written notice to AHG at
[email protected]. Written notification, to AHG, of the transfer must include specific information as to whom the registration is transferred including the new registrant’s first name, last name, and email address. Once the new registrant is approved by AHG, Inc., a link to “claim” the registration will be emailed to the new registrant. The original registrant will receive a 50% refund through the registration software once the new registrant has claimed and paid for their registration.
In the event of total or partial Event cancellation, outside of AHG’s reasonable control, any refunds and/or credits will be at the sole discretion of AHG.
TERMINATION
AHG is committed to creating a safe environment for everyone. Where any participant engages in disruptive, unruly, or behavior otherwise inconsistent with AHG’s values and standards, AHG reserves the right to terminate, withdraw, or deny access to the Event without refund.
All participants must be symptom-free, without medication, for at least 24 hours of head lice, fever, diarrhea, vomiting, cold/flu, or any other infectious illness. Where any participant displays symptoms consistent with an infectious illness, AHG reserves the right to terminate, withdraw, or deny access to the Event without a refund.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDING
Irrespective of any selection made through AHG’s annual Member Registration documents, by registering for and attending the Event, you acknowledge, for yourself and/ or your guests, that during any Event sessions or activities, you may be photographed or filmed. AHG reserves the right to use images and recordings of any Event participant captured at the Event in AHG’s program, marketing, and/or promotional materials. You waive any right to approval, payment, royalties, or other any other consideration for the use of the images or video recordings where your, or your minor child’s, likeness appears. For citation purposes, AHG may use an Adult Member participant’s first and last name and a Girl Member participant’s first name and program level.
WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
AHG will do its best to provide you with an excellent and positive experience at the Event, but we do not warrant or guarantee that any particular results will come from your attendance at the Event. Individual experiences will vary.
AHG gives no warranties in respect of any aspect of the Event, or any materials related thereto, or offered at the Event, and, to the fullest extent possible under the laws governing the Terms, disclaim all implied warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness, and merchantability. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by you or any participant on any aspect of the Event and/or any information provided at an Event.
In no event shall AHG or its officers, directors, employees, partners, contractors, affiliates, licensors, successors, or assigns have any liability to you for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, multiple, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, loss of use, business interruption, costs of procurement of substitute goods or services, either in contract, tort or under any other theory of liability, whether or not the possibility of such damage has been advised to you, from the Event or other aspect related thereto or in connection with this Agreement.
In no event shall AHG’s maximum liability hereunder exceed the registration fees paid by you to AHG to attend the Event, whether in contract, tort, or under any other theory of liability.
AHG is not responsible for any actions or conduct of other participants of the Event.
Program specifics, speakers, and topics are subject to change without notice.
INDEMNIFICATION (HOLD HARMLESS)
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AHG and its officers, employees, managers, directors, partners, members, agents, contractors, shareholders, affiliates, licensors, successors and assigns from and against any and all costs, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, expenses, fees, demands, and judgments, including court costs and attorney’s fees, which may arise out of your, and/ or your minor child’s, attendance at and participation in the Event, including but not limited to property damage and personal injuries, whether or not foreseeable.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
The Terms and all matters arising out of or relating to this agreement, whether sounding in contract, tort, or statute, for all purposes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio (including its statutes of limitations), without giving effect to any conflict of laws principles that would cause the laws of any other jurisdiction to apply. Any action, proceeding, mediation, or arbitration by either party to enforce the Terms shall be brought only in any state or federal court in Ohio, County of Warren. The parties hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts and waive the defense of inconvenient forum to the maintenance of any action or proceeding in such venue.
I, on behalf of myself and/or guests, have read the foregoing and fully understand the contents thereof. I agree these Participant Terms and Conditions shall be binding upon me and/or my guests, our heirs, legal representatives, and/or assigns.
